My Process

When I first started my internship with Benilde HIFI, they sent me a brief, slides with information about the hub and their goals. It filled with information that was appropriate for those working in the hub yet it was also a bit confusing as a newbie.  As I sat in on the weekly alignment meetings, I would try to understand the processes of the services HIFI was offering and follow the direction of the updates and conversation.  This is when I realized that if I was confused, many others might feel the same.

UX Research

I offered to design the website and part of the UX research was sifting through the information included in the brief and picking out what would ONLY be most relevant and useful for the viewers to know when visiting the website.

After understanding the objectives of website, I created a simple flow of the landing page.  My boss, Paul, wanted to keep it simple.

Also did some brainstorming with HIFI team on FigJam's Brainstorm to get insights on the direction they wanted to go with regard to content copy especially.

UI Design

For the visual design, I stayed true to Benilde HIFI's branding and color scheme.  All assets (icons, images and font) were c/o HIFI.  My responsibility was more the information architecture and layout of elements to make the structure understandable and easy to use for students and alumni.

There are CTAs in many parts because an objective was to get more sign-ups.

Creating on Webflow

As a personal initiative to upskill and learn Webflow, I decided to use the Benilde HIFI website as my practice project and I was able to re-create the site on Webflow.

What's Next?

This is the initial phase of the website as our goal was to launch the MVP and later add stories and other relevant information that could help bring more students, alumni and also outsiders to be active and engaged with Benilde HIFI's hub.
